Hello all!

We are trucking along to completing the book very soon! We were waiting for a few straggler sections of the new character creation materials to make its way in, but we'll be pushing that through editing quickly to get everything ready for Empire’s Reign. We've also got a couple concepts from backers for their Create-A-Character tiers, so those will hopefully come in quickly as well. (If you haven't responded to your message, please do!) 

If anyone has any questions, don't hestiate to ask. We are well on our way to a complete product, though, since we now have all the writing in-house. Woot!

Feb Update - Editing and Silver Blades!

Hey everyone!

Empire’s Reign is now officially in the editing process. Once that is done, we'll be reaching out to those backers brave enough to create their own characters for this book and then finishing all the art acquisition. It's been a long road here, but we're almost there. Thanks to everyone for your patience in getting everything together. 

As promised, I wanted to share some new info on the Silver Blades. 

Unlike the ninja who have jutsu and martial training, Silver Blades are all about their martial training, not possessing the ability to mold ki. However, they are THE best blade wielders in the Empire and they don't shy away from showing that off. In addition to being able to choose from Weapon Style: Sharp and Paired or Fighting Style Eagle, they also have access to five new techniques under The Way of All Rivers. These are structured like other fighting styles, each teaching a technique that increases in power up to Level 3. they include: 

• The Silver Tide: Using their sword at any range
• The Sword's Heart: Creating a connection between warrior and blade
• The Tiger Rush: Devasting attacks at sacrifice elegance for strength
• The Instant Step: Increasing their movement around the battlefield
• The Silver Iaijutsu: Perfecting their dueling capability
• The Last Blood: Becoming the fastest blades in the Empire

All of these combine into a pretty badass character when all is said and done.

January Update

Hello all!

We had some delays due to holidays and a few writers dropping off, BUT we have fully recovered now. All first drafts are in, so we're moving on to art acquisition and final drafts before moving on to layout. That means we're looking probably at an early to mid-February release, which is later than I wanted, but pretty darn good in the end. 

To hold you over until the next update, here's a couple of splat pics: 

Production Delays

Hey everyone, 

I wanted to jump on here and let you know that, while we've made some great progress on the book, there were some delays. The biggest reason is that we had 2 writers drop off the project unexpectedly due to emergencies. We've got new writers on their sections, but obviously have to give them time to complete their sections. 

With that in mind, we're looking at probably January for the release of the PDF. 

If you have interest in updates about specific parts of the book, let me know and I'll get those up when we have them ready. Otherwise, we'll continue to be hard at work and will certainly let you know how we are progressing.

Locking Down Surveys

Hey all! 

We've got about 90% of the backers who have filled out the Backerkit Surveys, which is outstanding! With that in mind, I'm going to lock down the surveys, charge people's cards and send out PDFs this Monday (11/7). 

If anyone still hasn't filled out your surveys, now's the time to do it.
